Joaquina started playing the piano at the age of 5 in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina, changing to the bass at 15 years old. She studied contemporary music composition for a few years before moving to Brazil to play music on the beach. A year later she moved to California and took private lessons with Jeff Novack and soon after she received her Associates from Pasadena City College, where she studied bass Zac Matthews. Upon graduation she packed all her belongings on a van and dedicated to tour with a power trio for the following five years.

By the end of that adventure, she established herself in the underground Denver music scene and received her BM in jazz bass from Metropolitan State. At Metro she has studied under the guidance of Ron Bland, Ron Miles, and Don Byron. Participating in jazz ensembles, the big band orchestra, the sinfonietta ensemble, and the African drumming ensemble; she performed on campus, at KUVO, and at Boulder’s KGNU radio stations. Through her studies at Metro State she has won the Colorado Merit Scholarship and the Special Recognition Music Scholarship. At present, Joaquina teaches bass, piano guitar, and drums and continues performing and recording with numerous bands. In 2019 she was able to donate her time to teach bass for Girls Rock Denver and continues to have sporadic free group-lessons at Mutiny Information Cafe when schedule allows.

With a kick and snare at his feet, a guitar in his hands and a golden howl emanating from deep within his soul…it’s RCO! Randall Conrad Olinger has been wowing crowds near and far with his brand of slinky, syrupy and swampy rock for years. Those who are familiar with his previous work in the Denver-based rock acts Workhorse and Nautilus will instantly recognize his fluid fretwork and trademark vocal delivery, however as one human he puts out a thick and absorbing sound that few bands achieve with more personnel. How does he do it? No one knows.

RCO’s musical journey has taken him across the great expanse of these American on national tours appearing at dives, theaters, festivals and other happenings where folks gather to appreciate live music. He has shared the stage with Scott Kelly of Neurosis, The Giraffes, Venom, The Legendary Shack Shakers and many others.

AGENTS OF FIRST CHOICE

Agents of First Choice (AOFC) is the dark, cosmic alter ego of musician and producer Gordon Leadfoot. Originally initiated as an entry in the RPM challenge in 2018, Leadfoot challenged himself to write and record an entire album within one month. Having recently completed studio projects that relied heavily on MIDI he decided to commit to this process to create a concept album based on a short science fiction story he wrote. Originally titled "Jupiter Trending", this collection of tracks allowed Leadfoot to delve into the classic sounds of his youth. Drums, guitars and bass tracks were recorded on the fly using a variety of methods and then reconfigured via sampling and/or editing. When Leadfoot paired these lo-fi recordings with their squeaky-clean MIDI counterparts a sound design was born. "Yarvis One" was released via Leadfoot's label Gordophonic Records in 2019 featuring the single and accompanying video "Sabotage on Yarvis One". During the lockdown era Leadfoot revisited his archives and unearthed previously unreleased studio sessions. This material, performed with a couple of mics and a sampler, was the primitive seed of his current work. Having a home for these tracks in AOFC he cleaned them up and released them as the "Preloaded Top Hits" EP with one additional new track in 2021. "Discomorphosis" is AOFC's next full-length release, slated to drop soon.
