All Of A Sudden It's All Hectic & Shit!

Whoa, doods…lots of activity! That’s pretty cool because we’ve had to keep a lid on things for WAY too long. Plans get made, then plans get diverted into wormholes and blah blah blah…you don’t want to hear all that garbage! Here’s what’s up:

First off…

We just released a new album and video from Agents Of First Choice! I’ve been waiting literally YEARS to unveil this creation. The irony is that it only took a month to make this album back in 2015. Right after my wife and I moved to Colorado from Kansas, I was visited by an ancient race of aliens from Yarvis One. They had two missions, one of which was to find someone to produce an album that would tell their story. The other was a contract they had with a secret society of native Coloradans to kill any new transplants. They had selected me for the latter mission but I quickly convinced them that I would be most useful in interpreting their tale. After our session there were several communications sent back and forth for months, and you have no idea what taking notes from a council of little green men from another fucking planet is like! When we completed the album I enlisted fellow Earthling Becca Waugh to create a music video for the first single. In order to convince her to do the video I had to tell her it was a “fictional story” that I made up. To this day she has no idea. Don’t tell her.

Secondly…

I am proud to welcome Randall Conrad Olinger to the Gordophonic family! His new album Balisong is available for pre-order right now. The album consists of 17 songs collected into 3 suites, and it is packaged with a 40-page book that includes photos, lyrics, artwork and stories surrounding the themes on the album. It’s ambitious, nutritious and oh so delicious! Seriously though, this is another project that took a while to get off the ground but it’s ready to fly high. It rocks with burning intensity, sure…but it also offers moments of atmospheric reflection and melodic perfection. All that and Granny Tweed even gets to join him on a track! Randy is one helluva artist and his vision is one we’ve respected for many years. Stoked!

Last but not least, we are now offering the debut album from Weinercat in our store. These guys are literally family, and they rock! Last year I had the opportunity to mix this collection of songs and I really enjoyed the task. The band has a sound that incorporates a sonic palette that’s close to my heart: 90’s alt-rock and 60’s surf rock. Hope you dig it…I do!

This is all quite a bit of activity for the first quarter of 2019 but we’re not done yet! Future releases include new music from Gordon Leadfoot and Granny Tweed before the year is out.

As always, thanks for your continued interest and support!
